直島の町並みに鍰（カラミ）煉瓦をマッピング。
この鍰は鉱石の精錬時に出る不純物で、島内にある三菱マテリアル直島製錬所で鍰煉瓦を作っており、昔は建築材料として使用されていたそう。
現在では鍰煉瓦は生産されていませんが、直島の町並みに見ることができます。
Mapping slag bricks in the Naoshima townscape.
The slag is leftover material from copper smelting at the Mitsubishi Materials refinery on the island.
Until the mid-20th century, it was formed into bricks, which were used as a building material.
The bricks are no longer produced.
